How Regenerative Filtration Works
Unlike conventional sand or glass filters, REG Filter systems use micronized perlite as the filter medium — a natural volcanic mineral capable of capturing particles down to 1 micron (vs. 30–40 microns for sand). The filter operates at very low velocities (2.5–4.5 m³/h/m²), maximizing filtration quality while minimizing energy use.
The patented self-cleaning regeneration cycle automatically redistributes the perlite media without manual intervention — eliminating the water-wasting backwash cycles required by conventional filters and dramatically reducing maintenance costs.
